It's good we don't get caught up in any lofty debates that the world loves to tangle us up into, for the Word repeatedly warns us to not participate in such… "Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. I love this site. We have been a very passionate and active married couple for 30 years next month. Since finding this site a few months ago, our love life has thrusted into hyperdrive, and we are at a whole new level of passion. We have been reading “Make More Love.” Song of Songs and use it as a devotional. I’m happy this site is getting some press. We overheard a couple of young single guys talking in gym about how married couples like to hang out with them because married life is so boring. My wife overheard this and started to laugh. I’ve always been the type that doesn’t go around announcing my faith, evening during seminary. The conclusion on the article and the comments are not surprising, there is still a lot of hurtful teachings out there that do way more damage than good. This site is great with some inspiring writers. Hopefully I’ll get brave and share some day.

Salon is a “news” site? When I saw the title of the post I wasn’t thinking it would be a radical left-wing site’s review of MH. On the other hand, now I can say that I’ve actually read an entire article on Salon!!
1) I’m glad people “out there” are coming to hear of Marriage Heat via Salon!
2) I don’t expect people with non-biblical worldviews to totally “get it” in regards to what the Bible says. Unbelief blinds people in a number of ways. We have the gospel of Jesus – which includes a comprehensive way of looking at all of life – including sex.
3) Christians do not need the world’s stamp of approval for anything – yet it is a blessing for people to take notice. Notice of what? That conservative, Bible-believing people unashamedly love sex within the rich confines of God’s revealed will in the Bible. What surprises them is that the “press” they’ve believed in the past about real Christians is not accurate. The mold they had Christians in turns out to not be true.
4) When many find out that we Christians love and participate in monogamous, raucous, erotic, sizzling, hot sex – some will still throw rocks at our house because we do not embrace adultery, meaningless unmarried sex, swinging, and more unbiblical practices. Yet, they won’t be able to say that it is because we have repressed ourselves sexually. The testimony of MH says clearly otherwise. I think this is a good thing – in that they won’t see us as people who have given up on sex.
5) In fact, when they see the excitement that is had by Christians – with the same spouse for many years – who are writing about it – I think it is a strong testimony to God’s wonderful design in giving us marriage sex.
6) We need to remember that the world’s sex doesn’t come with the contentment that we know. So, when they see that there is a way that not only has the fun – but lasts! – perhaps by God’s grace it might be a seed that leads them to wonder what the rest of the good news that the Bible speaks about is.
So, I am glad for this Salon article – without ever needing their validation. I hope that many people will check out MH – and come to know the Savior Jesus Christ – who gives us the wonderful gifts. Perhaps someone will have a testimony some day soon – “I was looking for sex, but instead I found Jesus Christ…and my sins are now forgiven”. I will pray for this! God bless! LH

Whether the motive of people is good or bad, more will look into Marriage Heat. And maybe some will find Jesus! I was glad to see the article had a mostly positive spin on MH, but a couple times I just either laughed or shook my head while reading, because it also shows how nieve people still are. 3) Christians do not need the world’s stamp of approval for anything – yet it is a blessing for people to take notice. Notice of what? That conservative, Bible-believing people unashamedly love sex within the rich confines of God’s revealed will in the Bible. What surprises them is that the “press” they’ve believed in the past about real Christians is not accurate. The mold they had Christians in turns out to not be true.
4) When many find out that we Christians love and participate in monogamous, raucous, erotic, sizzling, hot sex – some will still throw rocks at our house because we do not embrace adultery, meaningless unmarried sex, swinging, and more unbiblical practices. Yet, they won’t be able to say that it is because we have repressed ourselves sexually. The testimony of MH says clearly otherwise. I think this is a good thing – in that they won’t see us as people who have given up on sex.
5) In fact, when they see the excitement that is had by Christians – with the same spouse for many years – who are writing about it – I think it is a strong testimony to God’s wonderful design in giving us marriage sex.
6) We need to remember that the world’s sex doesn’t come with the contentment that we know. So, when they see that there is a way that not only has the fun – but lasts! – perhaps by God’s grace it might be a seed that leads them to wonder what the rest of the good news that the Bible speaks about is.
So, I am glad for this Salon article – without ever needing their validation. I hope that many people will check out MH – and come to know the Savior Jesus Christ – who gives us the wonderful gifts. Perhaps someone will have a testimony some day soon – “I was looking for sex, but instead I found Jesus Christ…and my sins are now forgiven”. I will pray for this! God bless! LH

I was glad to see the article had a mostly positive spin on MH, but a couple times I just either laughed or shook my head while reading, because it also shows how nieve people still are. If you really love your spouse, why wouldn’t you want to have amazing sex with him/her? How can marriage be the end of the fairy tale when it’s such a beautiful beginning to so many things? How is it that the very act that God uses to help create us and unite husband and wife would be plain and boring for Christians who believe in his glory? Society baffles me…
Either way, some of you know what this site has done and continues to do for me and my husband. Kelly doesn’t frequent it much, but he supports me in my participation here, and loves that it is helping me and our relationship to grow, besides the fact that our sex has become much more dynamic since I found MH, to say the least.
